Every minute, a normal adult breathes 12-20 breaths. Each of these breath pass through our nasal passageway and down to our lungs. These nasal passages are responsible for filtering and moistening the air we breathe. Because of the important role nasal passages play to human anatomy, it is a must to keep them healthy and prevent any unwanted obstruction. The most common causes of nasal passageway obstructions are allergies, sinusitis, polyps, nasal deformity and deviated septum. While the first three may be cured through medications, the last two can only be treated through corrective surgery.
